Jonathon C. King
President & CEO
UNC Management Company Jonathon King, President & CEO of UNC Management Company, joined the UNC Management Company in January 2005. In this role Mr. King is also the Chief Investment Officer of the $2.5 billion UNC Investment Fund.
Prior to joining UNC Management Co., Mr. King was the Associate Vice President and Director of Investments for Dartmouth College where he worked for sixteen years. Previously, Mr. King was an Investment Officer at New England Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston, MA and a Senior Accountant at Price Waterhouse & Co. in Hartford, CT.
Mr. King graduated cum laude from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Environmental Studies. Mr. King also graduated with an MBA
degree from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and is a Chartered
Financial Analyst.

Merritt

Mr. Merritt is one of the three founding partners of Parish Capital Advisors,
LLP. His experience stems from three professional roles: (i)
limited partner in private equity funds, (ii) direct private equity investor
and (iii) merger & acquisition advisor to private equity groups.
Prior to founding Parish Capital, Mr. Merritt served as Director of Private Investments for The Duke Endowment (TDE), where he was responsible for its private equity strategy, including sourcing, executing and monitoring investments. Prior to joining TDE, Mr. Merritt was Director of Private Investments for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Investment Office, where he built the private equity portfolio to approximately $350 million in commitments. He acquired his direct investment experience during his tenure at Bank of America’s private equity group and his investment banking experience at Bowles Hollowell Connor & Co.
Mr. Merritt received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of
Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

Mark Newcomb joined
UTIMCO in 2007 as an investment manager in the Public Markets Investments portfolio. Mark’s focus is on domestic, developed
international and emerging market equity investments. In this role, Mark is responsible for
investing the $4 billion equity portfolio for the various funds managed by
UTIMCO.
Prior to his tenure at
UTIMCO, Mark served as an Analyst/Portfolio Manager for TIAA-CREF’s $2.5
billion High Yield group which managed multiple CDO’s, total return accounts,
and a portion of the general pension. Previously
Mark worked in the equity research department at Bear Stearns and the FAS group
at Ernst & Young.
Mark received his BBA in finance from Texas Christian University and MBA with an emphasis on investment management from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at UNC Chapel Hill. Mark has been a CFA charter holder since 2003 and is a member of the Austin Chapter of the CFA Institute.

Capital Partners Prior to co-founding TrueBridge Capital Partners, Mr. Williams was a founding member of the UNC Management Company which manages the endowment of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and various other North Carolina based institutions. At UNCMC, Mr. Williams was a Vice President in charge of portfolio management for several portfolios including the firm's venture capital, private equity, real estate, energy and natural resources, and distressed debt portfolios.
Prior to his career at UNC
Management Company, Mr. Williams spent several years in the private equity
industry as a successful entrepreneur and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at
Commonwealth Capital Ventures in Boston.

received his MBA from Harvard after graduating cum laude with a BA in Economics
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr.
Wrigley has over twenty years of experience in corporate and financial
transactions and private investment management. Prior to forming Global
Endowment Management, he ran private investments at DUMAC, managing $1.8
billion in market value / $2.1 billion in unfunded commitments of venture
capital, leveraged buyout, real estate, and natural resources investments.
Previously, he was an investment banker in M&A at Goldman, Sachs & Co
and international capital markets lawyer with Linklaters in New York and
London. Mr. Wrigley is a Member of the New York Bar Association, Roll of
Solicitors of England and Wales, and Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme
Court of Victoria, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Law (honors) and Bachelor
of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Charles Grigg joined Carousel
Capital in 1997. Previously, Mr. Grigg worked in private equity with Orion
Partners in Boston. Prior to that, he worked in the healthcare corporate
finance group at Smith Barney & Co. in New York.
Mr. Grigg has led investments
for Carousel in various industries with a particular concentration in the
medical and healthcare services sectors. He has also led investments in
business services, data management and information services. He currently
serves as a director of Mergent, Brasseler USA, Axium Healthcare Pharmacy,
AGDATA, Soteria Imaging Services, Nestor Sales, Crescent Publishing and Simpson
Performance Products.
Mr. Grigg received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Yale University and received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
